Is it possible to have a second heart implanted into my body?
People get cosmetic surgery all the time. It does nothing for the health. Can i have an artificial heart implanted into my body? It sounds like something out of a bad science fiction movie but why can’t this be done? Does the scientific technology exist? If not,how far away are we from this being a legitimate possibility?
Evan, having two hearts would be helpful in the event that if one heart gets clogged and stops working the other can sustain the body until the damaged heart is fixed. I thought that was the obvious reason for wanting a second heart,im sorry for not elaborating further originally.
If you have a functioning heart, then probably not.
If not.. I dont think its possible yet
